Maria Moreno

Maria P. Moreno is a dedicated first grade teacher at WestPark Elementary, in the Buckeye Elementary School District since October 2000. With 19 years of teaching experience, she previously worked as an administrative assistant before entering the field of education.

A proud Arizona native and Dysart High School alumna (1992), Maria earned her Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from Arizona State University in 2004. She is a proud mother of three, happily married to her husband David for 24 years and an active member of her church Santa Teresita Church in El Mirage.

Currently serving as the Buckeye Education Association President, Maria actively serves on a variety of committees to improve conditions for teachers, staff and students.

Maria is dedicated to the Buckeye Elementary community and the countless students she has supported and will continue to assist. Her leadership style reflects a true servant-leader, showcasing excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
